Born to Charles and Betty Joan Beard on December 20, 1950. He graduated from Avon HS.

Danny began his career in filling stations and auto parts stores, before joining PSI. He remained a dedicated employee for 43 years, spending much of that time as Parts Manager at Duke Energy’s Plainfield main garage.

Known affectionately as Dan Dan, Dan-O, and most notably “Mr. Beard,” he loved boating, fishing, gardening, car shows, traveling, mechanical projects, charcoal grilling, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. His taco salad, potato salad, potato packets, homemade yeast rolls, and summer sausage were family favorites.

Danny is survived by his wife, Teddi Jo Beard; daughter, Danica Garrison (Will); stepdaughter, Amanda Cook (Sean); son, Damien Beard (Kara); sister, Judie Drake; and 10 beloved grandchildren. Special friends and caregivers who have helped significantly to support Danny and Teddi in the last few years since Dan’s stroke include his sister-in-law - Beth Weddle, Sarah Crowe, and Julie Wood.
