On Friday, August 8, 2025, Cathy Lou Schultz peacefully passed away with her loved ones surrounding her. She will be greatly missed, and her legacy will carry on. She was born on August 21, 1959, in Vincennes, IN to Robert and Doris (Goldman) Gray.

In July of 1986, Cathy married her soulmate, Charles K. Schultz, in Kentucky. For 39 years, they raised their two children, Chelsea and Dylan, and genuinely enjoyed their life together. They enjoyed taking their 1951 truck to the Eville-Shindig in Evansville, IN and their 1940 Mercury convertible to the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, KY. Going to car shows was a big hobby for Cathy and Charles.

Being “Mawmaw” to Anson was her true joy in life. He truly was the light of her life.

Cathy had worked at the St. Francisville Post Office and retired as Post Master Replacement. She had been a Girl Scout Leader when Chelsea was involved and absolutely loved her family. Occasionally, she sewed and did work as a seamstress.

Those left to carry on her legacy include: her husband- Charles Schultz of Bridgeport; her parents- Robert and Doris Gray of St. Francisville; two children- Chelsea Fuller and husband Shawn of Lawrenceville and Dylan Schultz of Palestine; one grandson- Anson Fuller of Lawrenceville; two brothers- Mark Gray and wife Beth of St. Francisville and Tim Gray of Texas.

A visitation will be held at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport on Wednesday, August 13th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 14th at Oak Lawn Cemetery in St. Francisville.

Memorial contributions can be made to the group or organization of the donor’s choice directly or through the funeral home. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.cunninghamfuneralhomes.com.
