
Albert “Jerry” Pinkstaff, age 88, of West Salem, Illinois passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Helia Healthcare of Olney, Illinois.
Albert “Jerry” Pinkstaff, age 88, of West Salem, Illinois passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Helia Healthcare of Olney, Illinois. He was born August 26, 1937 in Hobart, Indiana, the son of Freeland A. Pinkstaff and Bessie L. Waters. He married Justine Burns on October 20, 1955 and she survives.
Jerry worked in the chemistry department at Champion Labs in Albion, Illinois for 38 years. Jerry devoted his life to the United Methodist Church Conference, where he pastored at many locations for 38 years. He enjoyed calling on families and sharing the gospel of Christ with them. Jerry and Justine enjoyed traveling and taking cruises with their family.
Preceding Jerry in death were his parents and sister, Jane Preston.
Survivors include: children, Terry (Tammy) Pinkstaff of Friendsville, Illinois, Larry (Tiffiny) Pinkstaff of Jacksonville, Florida, Sherry (Roger) McRaven of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, and Jerri (James) Walston, of West Salem, Illinois; an adopted grandson, Kerry Pinkstaff; his sister, Mary Fischer of Lawrenceville, Illinois; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be conducted.
