Warsaw man arrested at Red Rock Inn on Friday with multiple charges including resisting

Plymouth Police Officers were dispatched to the Rock Inn on the city’s north side for a fight in progress on Friday, February 28^th at about 5:30 p.m. Dispatch said one of the male parties involved was a white male with green hair.

When city officers arrived on the scene, they located a male subject who appeared to be arguing with a female party standing on the balcony with green hair. Officers confronted the male and asked what happened and he said he didn't know. The female said he was talking to a couple of little girls.

The male party had a strong odor of alcoholic beverages. Officers tried to identify the male but he didn’t want to produce his ID. The male was detained and resisted and was later identified as William Freck, 36, of Warsaw.

During the investigation, it was determined that Freck was causing a disturbance and getting aggressive towards others. It was alleged that he also poked a male party in the eye and was headbutted during the argument.

William Freck blew on the portable breath test (PBT) a 244 BAC. He was transported to Plymouth Hospital for jail clearance where he resisted officers going inside and they had to carry him. Freck then kicked a Plymouth officer twice in the groin.

Freck was medically cleared and transported to Marshall County Jail. He was booked in for resisting arrest, public intoxication, battery, battery against a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, and refusal to identify himself. A probable cause affidavit was filled out and signed by a Judge and Freck was given a $3,000 cash bond and court date.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
