The Northern Indiana Community Foundation has announced that Jillian Smith will be its new marketing associate.
"With a strong background in community involvement and a passion for making a difference, she makes a great addition to our team," the foundation shared Friday via social media.
Smith leaves behind her position as executive director of the Fulton County Chamber of Commerce – one she has held since 2018 – to take on this new role. She resigns from the chamber effective March 14, with the board of directors to announce next steps for leadership in the coming weeks.
As the community foundation's marketing associate, Smith will help build awareness of its mission and strengthen the communities of Starke, Fulton and Miami counties. Her role involves managing marketing strategies, social media, publications and event coordination for initiatives and donor relations.
"I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve Fulton, Starke, and Miami Counties through my new role at the Northern Indiana Community Foundation. I look forward to working with the wonderful team at the foundation to create a lasting impact on our regional communities." Smith said.
