The Indiana Department of Transportation announces single-lane closures that will impact U.S. 36 in Hendricks County, and a full closure that will impact Main Street in Avon.
Beginning on or after Monday, March 23, the left lanes of U.S. 36 between White Lick Creek in Danville and County Road 525 E. near Avon will be closed, in addition to a full closure on Main Street between Avalon Drive and U.S. 36 in Avon.
The purpose of these traffic restrictions is to allow crews to safely complete turn lane and crossover modifications and relocate signals. Access to all local homes and businesses will be maintained during the changes in traffic. Construction is anticipated to last through June but is weather-dependent and subject to change.
