Just before 7 p.m Thursday the Shelbyville Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 1900 block of North Riley Highway.
local firefighters faced a detached garage fire that was extending into a second garage on site.
Utilizing two hand lines, the fire was quickly extinguished before engulfing the second structure.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
