The 2026 Shelby County Fair is off and running.
The 176th edition officially opened today and ends Saturday night with the highly popular Demolition Derby at the Grandstand.

The Fair Queen and her Court were chosen June 1 with veteran 4-H participants earning honors. Southwestern graduate Ellie Gosser (photo) is this year’s queen. Her court includes Triton Central’s Farah Coen and Waldron’s Jackie Corlett and Audrey Berauer.
Parking is free at the Shelby County Fairgrounds daily before 3 p.m. After 3 p.m., parking is $10 (cash only) at the gate. Handicap parking is available on site.
Here is the nightly grandstand schedule:
- Tonight, Triton Central Rock Show, 7 p.m. (free admission)
- Tuesday, TQ Midget Races, 7 p.m. (admission $10; pit pass $30)
- Wednesday, Touch-A-Truck, 5-8 p.m. (free admission)
- Thursday, Car and Truck Show, 6-10 p.m. (free admission)
- Friday, Truck and Tractor Pulls, 7:30 p.m. (admission $15)
- Saturday, Demolition Derby, 7 p.m. (admission $15; pit pass $30

- 2-10 p.m. Barnyard Party Pals Petting Zoo
- 3-9 p.m. Food vendors open
- 3-9 p.m. Pony rides
- 3-9 p.m. Community Building open
- 4 p.m. Live Animal Show with Barnyard Party Pals at the Free Stage
- 5-9 p.m. Family Arts Building open
- 5-9 p.m. 4-H Exhibit Halls open
- 6-10 p.m. Midway rides open

4-H participants from across the county show off their skills daily at the Shelby County Fair.
Free Stage performances include:
- Thursday – Buck Rogers, 6 p.m.
- Friday – Hemlock Row, 6 p.m.
- Saturday – Scot Schrader and Lindsey Flannery, 6 p.m.
Specials at the fair include:
- Tuesday – Buddy Night, $30 for two (2) wristbands from 6-10 p.m. Single wristbands are $25.
- Wednesday – Kids Day wristbands are $15 from 1-5 p.m. only.
