Neighboring Richland County has issued a no burn advisory until further notice. The county fire chiefs announced the ban due to the current dry weather conditions and high fire risk. Caution is advised to all residents who attempt to burn any materials, including leaves and branches, trash or other items until further notice. Richland County is the second southeastern Illinois county to take action regarding outdoor burning. Lawrence County continues under a burn ban till further notice.
