Two needed repair projects are moving forward after being approved by the Red Hill Unit #10 Board of Education Thursday.
Upon recommendation of it's building and grounds committee, a bid was accepted for approximately $44 400 from Martinsville Roofing for roof replacement at the Sumner Attendance Center and a $9,700 bid from Alstadt Plumbing for sanitary drain repairs at Bridgeport Grade School was given the go-ahead.
An administrative contract was entered into with current Red Hill Jr/Sr High School principal Kacey Strange to become the new Bridgeport Grade School principal next year. She will replace Tony Gaither, who is retiring. The district also moved to post the high school principal and an assistant principal/dean of students positions.
After a public hearing, a FY 2025 budget of around $12 million was formally approved.
