A Fort Wayne woman was arrested Saturday night after Plymouth Police discovered she was driving a vehicle reported stolen out of Elkhart County.
On Saturday, August 8th, at approximately 8:40 p.m., the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center issued a BOLO (Be On the Look Out For) alert for a stolen 2012 blue Ford Fusion with Indiana registration EDA543. The vehicle was reportedly being driven by Andrea Tuttle, 47, of Fort Wayne.
Nearly two hours later, at approximately 10:32 p.m., Sergeant Taberski with the Plymouth Police Department was dispatched to the Dairy Queen at 1621 West Jefferson Street for a report of a disabled vehicle that would not run. Dispatch advised the caller was Andrea Tuttle.
Upon arrival, Sergeant Taberski located the blue Ford Fusion matching the stolen vehicle description parked on the west side of the building, with Tuttle seated in the driver's seat. Tuttle was detained while officers confirmed the vehicle's stolen status with Elkhart County.
During the investigation, officers discovered a container containing a crystal-like substance and four glass smoking devices. Tuttle was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where she was booked on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of methamphetamine.
