Three men were arrested on separate occasions for marijuana by city police officers.
On Thursday, May 1, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Officer Lovely with the Plymouth Police Department was dispatched to the Economy Inn on North Michigan Street for a domestic dispute. During his investigation, Chester Maciejack II, 28, of the Economy Inn, had a strong odor of marijuana emanating from his room. Marijuana was in plain view, and Maciejack was detained. Maciejack consented to answering questions and a search of his residence. During the search, marijuana was discovered in multiple locations within the room. Maciejack was taken into custody, transported to the Marshall County Jail, and booked for possession of marijuana as a class B misdemeanor and for possession of paraphernalia as a class C misdemeanor.

On Saturday, May 3rd, Officer Witkowski conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling over 70 MPH in a posted 50 MPH zone on U.S. 30. The driver of the vehicle, 47-year-old Bobby L. Green of Fort Wayne, was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was arrested, transported to the Marshall County Jail, and booked in.

Sunday morning, May 4th, at approximately 02:20, Officer Witkowski stopped two male individuals riding their bicycles down the West Washington Street sidewalk without forward or rear-facing lights. It was discovered that one of the individuals, Paul Anthony Williams, 42, of the Economy Inn, attempted to discard a THC vape pen during the stop. He was taken into custody and booked in the county jail for possession of marijuana and obstruction of Justice.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
