A 34-year-old Plymouth man was arrested early Saturday morning after police say he battered his girlfriend and another individual during a late-night altercation at a Beerenbrook Street residence.
Plymouth Police were dispatched to 203 Beerenbrook Street at approximately 2:43 a.m. on Saturday, May 9th, for a report of an unknown problem. Upon arrival, officers noticed two vehicles leaving the scene and conducted a stop on both.
During questioning, a female victim reported that she had sustained a bite mark to the face during a physical altercation with her boyfriend, identified as Eric Quiroz, 34, of the Beerenbrook Street address. A second male occupant in one of the vehicles was also found to have sustained a bloody nose during the altercation.
Officers returned to the residence, where they located Quiroz and determined he was highly intoxicated. He was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked at 4:52 a.m. on charges of battery and domestic battery. Quiroz was bonded out of jail approximately 24 hours later.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
