A Plymouth woman faces drug possession charges following a traffic stop Wednesday evening that involved the Plymouth Police K9 team and the Indiana State Police.
On Wednesday, October 7, at approximately 9:35 p.m., the Plymouth Police K9 team assisted Indiana State Police with a traffic stop at the Wendy's restaurant on U.S. 30 at Oak Drive. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as 40-year-old Heather Vandusen, of the 2,000 block of North Michigan Road in Plymouth.
During the stop, K9 Kyzer alerted to the presence of narcotic odor. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Vandusen was taken into custody and lodged at the Marshall County Jail. She faces charges for possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia. She is being held on a $1,500 cash bond.
