The Parke Heritage High School and Parke Heritage Middle School FFA livestock judging teams competed at the Region 1 livestock judging contest on April 15.
Out of 58 teams, the PHMS team consisting of Cohen Berry, Kennedy Mitchell, Emma Pezan, and Eli Seay placed first and will be advancing to the state contest. The team consisting of Hadley Grubbs, Julia Helderman, and Max Jeffries placed 17th.
PHMS team members are Max Jeffries, Julia Helderman, Cohen Berry, Kennedy Mitchell, Emma Pezan, Hadley Grubbs, and Eli Seay.
Out of 152 individuals, Kennedy placed second, Eli- 11th, and Cohen- 13th overall.
In the high school division, the team of Emmylou Rader, Stormi Swaim, Kenleigh Berry, Brooklynn McMullen, and Whitney Swaim finished seventh out of 79 teams.
Stormi finished 10th out of 207 participants.
