Reports out of Vanderburgh County, Indiana indicate that there will be no charges filed in connection with the death of a sheriffs deputy in March of 2023.

The Vanderburgh County Prosecutors Office says that an Indiana State Police investigation has found no evidence of any wrongdoing concerning Asson Hacker, who died during a required training fight at a club in Evansville. Hacker's wife had filed a wrongful death suit in court, saying that the event contributed to his death and that immediate medical attention was not given. The Knox County Indiana Sheriffs Department was one of those named in the lawsuit. A coroner's report attributed Hackers death to exertional sickling due to a sickle cell trait he had.
