Marian University’s Ancilla College honors local community leaders Gary and Robin Neidig; announces $500K gift from alumnus Terry Irving ‘06, for rural nursing initiative

Marian University’s Ancilla College (MUAC) recognized local business and community leaders Gary and Robin Neidig at the annual Changing Lives Scholarship Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 3.

The Changing Lives Scholarship Dinner, held at the Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, raises funds to provide scholarships that allow students to develop professionally, personally, and spiritually – talents that will continue to spur economic, social, and cultural growth throughout northern Indiana. More than 300 people attended this year’s scholarship dinner, raising more than $300,000 for MUAC student scholarships.

At this year’s Changing Lives event, the university announced a generous $500,000 gift from Marian University alumnus Terry Irving. Irving graduated in 2006 with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marian University. He was inspired to donate to Marian University’s Ancilla College after growing up in rural Indiana and seeing the need for skilled, compassionate nurses to serve rural communities.

Gary and Robin Neidig were honored with the Changing Lives Ancilla Domini Legacy of Service Award. Gary Neidig, ITAMCO President and CEO, and his wife Robin have been dedicated members of the Plymouth community for more than four decades. A pillar of northern Indiana, ITAMCO is committed to community growth and prosperity by delivering precision manufacturing training programs to Plymouth Community School Corporation students. This partnership includes providing donated equipment and technical expertise to address the skills gap and nurture a skilled workforce throughout northern Indiana. Gary and Robin’s community engagement and service spirit embody ITAMCO’s values of excellence and compassion.
