This Saturday, August 3rd, the Marshall County Park and Recreation Board will conduct their monthly meeting and host an open house at the West Township Trustee’s historic cabin in the Memorial Forest on State Road 17 and 14th Road.
The public is invited to attend the public meeting at 9 a.m. and following the meeting the open house of the cabin until noon.
The community will have the opportunity to meet and speak with County Park Board members and view the cabin that was originally a few miles north of its current location at the curve on State Road 17 at Sycamore Road, across from the old West School.
While at the historic cabin visitors can walk the various trails in the Memorial Forest and view the new Disc Golf Course that is under construction. The first 9-holes are expected to be completed this fall and next summer they will add 9 more holes for the course.
