The Wabash County Sheriffs Department reports a Lawrence County woman was one of three people charged after investigation into the report of a suspicious woman standing in the middle of Illinois Route 1 in a rural area. Sheriffs deputies responded to the location where the woman was sighted and initially found nothing. But as the search continued, a stolen SUV with Indiana plates was discovered nearby with three people in it. The driver was identified as 25 year old Madison Pennington of Lawrenceville. She was found to be wanted on arrest warrants out of Richland County, Ill and Henderson, Ky. She was also driving with a suspended license. The two others with Pennington who are from Evansville Indiana and Mt Carmel Illinois have also been charged in the case and were being held pending detention hearings in White County.
