LAFAYETTE-Leon D. Ingerham, 96, of West Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at University Place in West Lafayette.
He was born April 5, 1929, in Marshall County, IN, to the late Philo and Dortha (Holland) Ingerham.
Leon graduated from Lapaz High School and on August 24, 1947, in Plymouth, IN he married Ruth Jeanne Cochern she preceded him in death on October 21, 2016.
Leon worked for State Farm Insurance Company for 29 years and retired in 1995. In addition to his work with State Farm he was employed with various other insurance companies in Indiana.
Surviving is his daughter Michele J. Ingerham of West Lafayette, IN, grandchildren Keenan (Diana) Heyde, Sybil (Eric) Belcher, Rachel Heyde, Justin (Kristen) Ingerham and great grandchildren; Duncan Heyde, Gweneth Morris, Fred Belcher, Josephine Belcher, Lukas Ingerham, and Elia Ingerham.
Leon was preceded in death by his daughter Debbie Heyde and brothers Paulus and Phillip Ingerham.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway West in West Lafayette.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday August 24, 2025, at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN. Service will be 11:00 am Monday, August 25, 2025, at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home. Interment will be at New Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth, Indiana.
