Lawrence County Memorial Hospital (LCMH) located in Lawrenceville has announced that its Executive Director of Hospital and Clinical Operations, Gene Allen has successfully completed graduation from the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network (ICAHN) Fellowship Program.
The program focuses on strengthening rural healthcare and is designed to equip healthcare professionals with advanced knowledge in leadership, healthcare policy, financial management and strategic planning. Those who participate gain the tools needed to address the unique challenges facing rural hospital and clinics and improve patient care and organizational performance.
During the fellowship, Allen completed an intensive curriculum that included collaborative experiences, leadership training, and hands-on projects involving healthcare delivery in rural areas to better serve Lawrence County and the surrounding community medical needs.
