The Lawrenceville City Council met in regular session Thursday night at City Hall.
They approved on first reading the annual appropriations ordinance of approximately $6.3 million, a 1 1/2% increase from the previous year. Formal approval is expected in July. Also approved was the bid of just over $106,500 from Ambraw Asphalt for several city motor fuel tax (MFT) road improvement projects expected to begin next month. The council approved a request from Police Chief Jim White for $19,600 to contract with a firm to begin updating the city police policy manual to cover various areas including the use of body cameras.
