Kyle Wieland is the new principal of Tippecanoe Valley Middle School, effective immediately.
Wieland brings with him 25 years of experience in various teaching and administrative roles. Most recently, he served as the director of public relations for Manchester Community Schools, where he contributed to enhancing community engagement and promoting educational initiatives.
"I am thrilled to join the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation family as the principal of Tippecanoe Valley Middle School," Wieland said. "Having lived in North Manchester for most of my life and with strong ties to this community, I have always admired TVSC's dedication to providing exceptional learning opportunities. The district's commitment to academic excellence and inclusivity, as evidenced by initiatives like Unified Champions and CommUNITY Night, resonates deeply with my own values."
A graduate of Manchester High School's Class of 1994, Wieland holds a strong connection to the area and its educational landscape. His professional journey includes a tenure as a teacher and administrator, coupled with a deep-rooted passion for fostering supportive learning environments.
"I look forward to collaborating with the outstanding staff, students, families and community members of TVSC," Wieland added. "Together, I believe we can continue to build upon the district's successes and create even more opportunities for our middle school students to excel academically and personally."
Wieland resides with his wife Julia, and they have two children: Austin, an elementary teacher in South Carolina, and London, who will be a senior at Manchester Jr-Sr High School. As a family, they enjoy supporting Indiana University basketball and the Indianapolis Colts, as well as outdoor activities like kayaking and fishing.
For Wieland, the transition to TVMS represents an opportunity to contribute to a vibrant educational community and support students in reaching their full potential.
"I am a people person and firmly believe in the power of collaboration," Wieland said. "I encourage parents, students and community members to reach out and share their insights and ideas. Together, we can continue to make Tippecanoe Valley Middle School a place where every student thrives."
