The Indiana School Boards Association congratulates Michael Kent Braun on his election as Governor of Indiana.
As he prepares to take office, ISBA stands ready to help on numerous issues of importance to school board members. Above all, we are committed to working with the new administration and the Indiana General Assembly to achieve our common goals on improving education and student success.
Governor-elect Braun first appeared on the ballot 20 years ago in May 2004 when he was elected to the Greater Jasper School Board. He is the first former school board member elected Governor of the State of Indiana since Samuel Ralston in 1912.
