The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a series of intermittent lane closures over three Hendricks and Putnam County bridges on U.S. 40.
Beginning on or after Monday, May 11, INDOT contractors will be closing individual lanes on U.S. 40 over White Lick Creek, which is located between County Road 400 E. and Miles Road, west of Plainfield.
Beginning on or after Monday, June 8, INDOT contractors will be closing individual lanes on U.S. 40 over Big Walnut Creek, located between C.R. 800 W. and C.R. 625 W., near Reelsville.
All bridge closures are a part of the same bridge scour protection contract, with construction anticipated to be complete by the end of November, weather-permitting. Lane closures will only be in effect as needed, with the majority of work taking place underneath the bridges.
