The Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call of a person shot at the Camby Walmart.
Deputies arrived on scene just before 2 p.m. Sunday. A man was found in the parking lot wounded by what appeared to his torso. The wounded male was provided immediate medical attention and then transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital in critical condition.
Deputies also detained a male person of interest at the scene.
Preliminary reports indicate that there was some type of verbal and physical altercation between the men prior to any shots being fired. All of these events are currently believed to have happened outside of the store in the parking lot. Hendricks County detectives are investigating.
