The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office is reminding motorists traveling the authorized detour around the State Road 25 closure to obey the posted 35 mph speed limit on CR 500 N, CR 500 E North and surrounding authorized detour routes in Fulton County
The sheriff's office notes these rural county roads carry local traffic, farm equipment, residents, and changing road conditions. Motorists are advised to slow down and use extra caution while traveling through the detour area.
Meanwhile, State Road 25 / Hoosier Heartland is closed between C.R. 300 S in Cass County to C.R. 600 N in Carroll County (between U.S. 35 and State Road 218) for seal coat activities. This week the road is closed in the southbound/westbound direction, and next week the road will be closed in the northbound/eastbound direction.
Each closure will take place for 3-4 days.
The official detour will follow State Road 218, State Road 29, and State Road 329.
