Crossroads Church, located at 1650 North Oak Drive in Plymouth, held a ceremonial groundbreaking on Monday for an expansion of their current facility.
The expansion will add 9,200 square feet on the north and east sides of the existing building. This is Phase 1 of a three-phase master plan to develop their property in Plymouth fully.
Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-September, with an estimated completion date approximately nine months later.
The new space will offer numerous ministry opportunities, with a focus on student ministries, prayer, video production, maintenance, and office spaces for counseling (Biblical Soul Care).
The expansion isn't just about creating new space, although that is necessary; more importantly, it offers the opportunity to serve the community more effectively.
Crossroads is known throughout the community for its service "outside of the church building".
The facility expansion will allow them to operate with far fewer restrictions in their desire to make disciples of Jesus Christ, who will be empowered and deployed to make disciples of Jesus Christ everywhere they go. When you talk to members of Crossroads Church, they can clearly state that they are to "Love, Connect, and Serve on the Journey with Jesus Christ." That means they embrace Matthew 28:18-20, which is referred to as the Great Commission.
They gather to worship God and learn from the Bible, to connect with others because God designed everyone for community, and then give of themselves by serving others both inside and outside the church walls.
