The Marshall County Commissioners conducted their final meeting of 2024 on Tuesday, December 31st. The short meeting included approval of the December 16th regular and executive session meeting minutes, the claims, and payroll.
HR Administrator Jennifer Daake presented a request for an employee to use 30 days of Sick Bank time, and the commissioners unanimously approved the employee’s request.
Before closing the final meeting, Commissioner Kevin Overmyer made a statement saying, “Mike (Commissioner Burroughs), at 12:01 tonight, we will be out of the lawsuit.” Burrough’s response was Amen! Overmyer went on to say, “You and I won’t be around here next year so we are out of the mix of this and they will have to find other people to blame. I look forward to next year.”
Following that statement, Overmyer motioned to close the meeting.
