The City of Plymouth received a portion of Governor Holcomb’s, INDOT award of $139.7 million through Community Crossings matching grants this month.
Mayor Robert Listenberger is proud to announce the City of Plymouth will be receiving $647,181.98 in matching grant funds from the Community Crossings grant. He said,
These funds will be used to double our current street and sidewalk projects in the City of Plymouth in 2025."
Projects for next spring include Lincolnway East from Jefferson Street east to the city limits, South Michigan Street from Oakhill Avenue north to the Yellow River Bridge, Lake Street f rom South Michigan Street to Gideon Street, LaPorte Street from Fifth Street to the dead end on Ben Lane, Seventh Street from Lake Avenue to LaPorte Street, Garro Street from Third Street to Fifth Street, Nursery Street from Rose Street to South Michigan Street, Marlou Place, Roy Street from Gibson Street to Lincolnway East, and Gideon Street from Pennsylvania Street to the dead end.
Mayor Listenberger said, “It is through the diligence and hard work of the City Engineer Dan Sellers, Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt, and Engineer Tech Chris Marshall that we were able to capture these important funds.”
