In a commitment to supporting veterans, the American Legion, Department of Indiana announces a Veteran Stand Down event aimed at assisting at-risk veterans.
The event will take place on June 7, at the Indiana American Legion Headquarters, located at 5440 Herbert Lord Road, in Indianapolis. The event begins at 9 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m., with food served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This event aims to provide critical services and support to at-risk veterans. Attendees will have access to a wide range of free services, including:

Haircuts
Dental Assessments
Mammograms (Available by appointment)
Backpacks with food and hygiene items
In addition, veteran service officers will be available to assist with claims, and various veteran organizations will be on-site to showcase the services they offer. The event also welcomes active military personnel, who can enjoy free food throughout the day.
