The season came to an end for the Vincennes University baseball Trailblazers last Friday (May 16). They lost twice at the Central District Championship Tournament in Union, Missouri. VU opened the day with a semi-final loss to Heartland Community College 8-4. They then lost in elimination bracket play later to the North Central College Pirates 13-1. The Blazers went 1-2 in the double-elimination affair. VU wraps up the year at 28-34-the most wins by a VU baseball team since 2016. They did win the Region 24 title for the first time since 2016 and won the first Mid-West Athletic Conference baseball championship in program history.
