Lawrenceville High School is on the lookout for a new boy's head basketball coach.

The Lawrence Unit #20 Board of Education Wednesday night accepted the resignation of Tad Shick after two seasons at the helm of the Indian program.

His teams were 59-11 overall. This past season, he led the Tribe to a 35-3 record, a school record for wins and games played in a season. His teams won 2 regional titles, 1 sectional title, and a super sectional title in post-season play. They also won 2 Little Illini Conference (LIC) championships, a regular season LIC championship, and a Lawrence County Capital Classic tournament title. He took over as head coach after Randy Bishop left to become head coach at Robinson after serving as JV coach.

Unit #20 Superintendent Doug Daugherty told GIANT-FM WAKO Sports that the position will now be posted and application accepted for the vacancy. It is hoped that a new coach will be in place before summer's end.
