Red Storm 7th splits in tourney PLYMOUTH — The Lady Red Storm played at NorthWood Saturday in a tourney with Lakeview, Fremont and NorthWood. The team came out strong in the morning despite having three starters missing due to choir Solo and Ensemble. A great defensive effort was played by all. Brighton Bird played a great game on both sides of the ball. The Red Storm came up short in a 23-19 loss for its first loss of the year, which hinged on missed free throws and bunnies. The ladies were one for 18 from the line in game one. In the second game of the day, the Lady Red Storm came out ready to play. They took it to Fremont working on some of their deficiencies from the morning, and came up with a win. The final score was 33-11. Kaylee Dragani was top scorer with 12 followed by Taylor Delp with eight. Jadyn Beran and Brighton Bird played well throughout the day. The Red Storm has a busy week ahead and look to continue in the win column. The girls are away Monday and Tuesday night before returning home to play Bremen on Thursday at 5 p.m. for a traditional A/B game.
