Prep Report: Class 4A, No. 6 Center Grove shuts out Shelbyville

Class 4A, No. 6 Center Grove pitchers Riley Fuhr and Kara Biever combined to toss a one-hit shutout Saturday in a 10-0 win over Shelbyville.

Fuhr pitched four innings and allowed one hit while striking out four. Biever tossed a scoreless fifth inning.

The Trojans (19-6) scored in each of the five innings to pull away from the Golden Bears in their regular season finale.

Brynn Meyer, an Indiana recruit, had two hits including an inside-the park home run, scored two runs and drove in two to lead Center Grove. Taylor Barrett, also an IU recruit, had two hits and scored three runs.

Gracie Crafton took the loss for Shelbyville (10-16), who has lost six straight.

Jac-Cen-Del 11, Waldron 0

At Jac-Cen-Del Monday, Blake Wagner and Kasin Bowling combined to limit Waldron to just one hit while recording four strikeouts to improve the Eagles to 14-8 this season.

Sam Johnson had three hits and drove in five runs. Three more Eagles each had two hits.

Hunter Dodson took the loss for Waldron (8-14).
