Nachor Secret reveals speed in Easys Night Beat Overnight Stakes at Horseshoe Indianapolis

Nachor Secret, a multiple Indiana stakes winner, rallied home with a big finish to score the win in the third running of the $35,000 Easys Night Beat Overnight Stakes Saturday at Horseshoe Indianapolis.

Guided by Isidro Banuelos, the Indiana sired grey gelding was a winner in 17.720 seconds.

Nachor Secret entered the gate as one of several stakes winners among the nine starters. His break wasn’t perfect as he took a couple of stumbled steps before gathering himself up and being in contention from the middle of the track.

The inside horses had a slight edge in the first half of the 350-yard dash, but by the 220-yard mark, Nachor Secret was showing what he could do, slowly getting the edge over Escondido Gold and Alberto Ceron on the inside and a fast flying AP Miss Lunas Tide on the outside.

In the end, Nachor Secret was a winner by a head with Escondido Beach and AP Miss Lunas Tide in a dead heat. Last year’s winner, Streakindownthebeach with Eduardo Diaz aboard was also in the photo, finishing a neck back in fourth. Less than three lengths separated the entire field at the wire.

Nachor Secret paid $4.80 for the win. The five-year-old son of Habits Secret is owned, bred, and trained by Ricardo Martinez, who also raced Habits Secret. Nachor Secret earned his first win in his second start of 2026. Overall, he has seven wins from 16 starts with more than $265,000 in career earnings. It was his fourth career stakes victory.

The race is named in honor of Easys Night Beat, the winner of the first pari-mutuel Quarter Horse event for the state of Indiana. The two-year-old was guided to victory by Carter Riley in 1997 at Hoosier Park to establish the historical moment for the state of Indiana.
