Lawrence County wrestlers capture season opening tournament title

It was a successful debut for the Lawrenceville-Red Hill wrestling Indians Saturday.

They captured the season opening 12 team Lawrence County Tournament at Lawrenceville High School.

The Indians won with 255 points, followed by Carterville with 179.5, Robinson 167 and Fairfield with 130.

5 members of the Tribe won individual championships on the day.

Drew Seitzinger at 130 pounds

Dylan Aten at 132 pounds

Cale Seitzinger at 138 pounds

Malikye Williams at 190 pounds

Dylan Camden at 285 pounds

Next scheduled action for the squad is Wednesday hosting Mt. Carmel.
