The day finally came for Adam Schenk Sunday.
He captured his first Professional Golfers Association (PGA) event title by winning the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. Schenk shot 12-under par 272 to claim victory in the four-day affair.
Schenk, who is a native of Knox County and played college golf for Purdue, won after making 243 career starts on the tour. He finished one stroke ahead of second-place finisher Chandler Phillips and two shots ahead of five golfers who tied for third.
