The bracket is set and familiar foes will meet once again while chasing a girl's basketball sectional crown at South Putnam in February.
The action begins on Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. with Greencastle (9-11) taking on North Putnam (13-7). The winner advances to take on host South Putnam (10-11) at 6 p.m. on Feb. 6.
The Cougars already own a 35-33 win over Greencastle, knocking off the Tiger Cubs in the Putnam County Tournament. The two teams are set to play on Jan. 27.
As for South Putnam, Brian Gardner's team has dropped five of its last six games, and will round out the regular season on Jan. 29 at Cloverdale. The Eagles lost 44-38 against North Putnam in the final of the Putnam County Tournament and then again on Dec. 5, 37-18. South Putnam defeated Greencastle, 37-29, earlier this season.
The bottom half of the bracket features Parke Heritage (14-7) taking on a 16-3 Southmont squad on Feb. 3 following the Greencastle and North Putnam game. The winner plays South Vermillion (0-19) in the second semifinal on Feb. 6.
Parke Heritage owns wins over Greencastle, North Putnam, South Putnam, South Vermillion and recently knocked off Southmont, 53-47.
Southmont, on the other hand, has defeated North Putnam, South Putnam and Greencastle as well this season.
