Triton Central standout Gwyn Williams recently made her collegiate volleyball debut for Defiance College.
Defiance opened its season on Aug. 14 with a 25-16, 25-11, 25-18 win over IU East. Williams was credited with one dig in her debut.
Defiance played four matches in Fort Wayne Friday and Saturday.
On Friday, the Yellow Jackets defeated Huntington, 25-23, 25-18, 25-16. They followed that with a 25-15, 25-18, 25-20 loss to No. 3 ranked Indiana Wesleyan. Williams had one assist and one dig.
Marian bested Defiance Saturday, 25-19, 25-19, 24-26, 25-23. Williams had two digs in the loss.
Defiance closed out the event with a 25-22, 25-18, 25-20 loss to No. 9 Mount Vernon Nazarene.

Ellie Simpson
The Shelbyville graduate played the full 90 minutes in Indiana University East’s first two women’s soccer matches of the season.
A defenseman on the IU East roster, Simpson and the Red Wolves opened the season with a 1-1 tie against Cleary in Howell, Michigan.
On Sunday, Lawrence Tech defeated IU East, 4-3.

Kindall Dorsey
The Morristown graduate took the floor Sunday in Wright State Lake Campus’ 26-24, 25-21, 25-20 win at Terra State Community College.
The win improved Wright State Lake to 2-0 this season.
