Toni Lynnette Dowden, 65, of Kokomo

Toni Lynnette Dowden, 65, of Kokomo, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025, unexpectedly. 

She was born May 8, 1960, in Kokomo to Lewis C. and Marleene S. (Pasley) Dowden.

She worked for AT& T for several years and had her own cleaning business with her best friend Darlene Ford.  She was a very gifted musician and singer, teaching herself to play guitar.  She was also an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.

She is survived by her sisters Joni (Wayne) Smith, Helen (Scott) Rouch and her sister-in-law Christina Dowden. As well as many nieces and nephews Michael (Nanny) Smith, Bradley (Clair) Dowden, Alexandra (Jordan) Shadday, Nathaniel (Shelby) Dowden, Jacob (Aly) Rouch and Felicity (Brett) Gordon. And her great nieces and nephews Ellie, Lucy, Logan, Jojo, Johnathan, Owen, Jackson, Jameson, Maverick, Oriah and Morrigan. She is also survived by her dearest friend Darlene Ford and daughter Jamie Dupay, cherished friends, Joyce and Rick Koepke and her beloved puppy Zoey.  She is proceeded in death by her parents and grandparents and her brother Frederick Dowden as well as her beloved dogs- Franklin and Eddie.

A celebration of her life will be held at 7:00 p.m.  Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Chad Chamness officiating.

Visitation will be held prior to services from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be given to New Life Church or the Humane Society.
