Sheryl Kay (Stiles) Fishburn, 81, of Argos, passed away October 30, 2026, at 9:09 p.m. at her family's residence in Indianapolis, Indiana. On October 18, 1945, in Plymouth, Indiana, she was born to Elmer and Myrtle Stiles.
First and foremost, Sheryl loved the Lord. She was a devoted Christian woman whose faith was the foundation of her life. Sharing God's love and bringing others to the Lord was her greatest mission and something she held dear to her heart.
Sheryl had a love for life's simple pleasures. She was an avid reader who was rarely without a book, enjoyed working puzzles, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved exploring new places and sightseeing, especially in Arizona, which she considered her second home and held a special place in her heart.
Above all, Sheryl cherished her family, her dear friend Ruth, and her beloved cat, Brenda.
She is survived by her brother, Delmas (Judy) Stiles of Muncie Indiana; her daughter, Renea Bray of Greenfield, Indiana; her sons, Shawn (Sara) Preston of Tucson, Arizona, and Scott Collins of South Carolina; and her stepchildren, Steve (Cindy) Fishburn, Mike (Lora) Fishburn, Jeff (Lora) Fishburn, and Denene Fishburn.
She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Emily Toombs, Ashley Toombs, Matthew Toombs, Shandi Bray, Michael Bray, Colton Bray, Jenna Preston, and Dan Preston, along with several great-grandchildren.
Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Myrtle Stiles, and her husbands, Karl Johnson and Loy Fishburn, and brother, Elmer D. Stiles.
Sheryl will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. While our hearts are heavy, we find comfort and peace in knowing that she is now resting in the loving arms of the Lord she so faithfully served.
Her greatest legacy is her unwavering faith and the love she shared with those around her.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday November 7, 2026, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 p.m.
Burial will conclude at the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana.
