Samuel Joseph Evans, Jr., age 53 of Allendale, IL, passed away unexpectantly in Alameda County, California on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. He was born on February 13, 1973, in Denver, Colorado to Samuel Joseph Evans, Sr. and Jackie (Parker) Arnold.
He worked for Audio Response Systems (ARS) setting up for mock trials. When he could, he attended Parkview Christian Church of Mt. Carmel, IL. Sam enjoyed wood working, fishing, going to garage sales, casinos, and vacations on cruise ships. He prided himself on getting the “art of the deal” and finding the best places to eat.
Those left to carry on his legacy include: his father- Sam Evans, Sr. and wife Rose; his mother Jackie Arnold; three children- Tim Evans, Rebeckaih Mossberger and husband Kevin, and David Evans; five grandchildren- Oliver and Caspian Evans, Ryder and Jackson Burton, and Hadleigh Evans; three siblings; Jeremiah Evans and wife Dottie, Katie Evans, and Wendy Williams and husband Dan.
He was preceded in death by: his sister-Debbie Evans; one grandchild- Noel Mossberger; one niece- Samantha Evans; and one nephew- Joshua Evans.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Cunningham-Young Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL with funeral services following immediately at 3:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
