Rosalee (Shafer) Overmyer, 87, a resident of Miller's Merry Manor in Warsaw, Indiana and formerly of the Tippecanoe community passed away August 24, 2026, at 3:35 a.m. at Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana.
On September 8, 1938, in New Castle Township, Fulton County, Indiana, she was born to Kenneth L. Shafer and Ruth A. (Boganwright) Shafer. Rosalee had lived in the Tippecanoe community for most of her life.
On June 28, 1958, in Tippecanoe she married Myron R. Overmyer and together they shared 38 years before his passing on March 8, 1996.
Rosalee was a housewife/homemaker and had worked at Triton Elementary as a cafeteria aide. She was a graduate of Tippecanoe High School with the class of 1957. She was a member of Grace Outreach Fellowship of Tippecanoe, Indiana
Rosalee is survived by her Daughters – Ruth Kreft and husband Larrie of Tippecanoe, and Tammy Cook and husband Robert of Etna Green, Indiana
Sons – Randy Overmyer and wife Melanie of Tippecanoe, Timothy Overmyer and wife Diane of Goshen, Indiana; and Dennis Overmyer and wife Cindy of Plymouth, Indiana
Grandchildren – 21; Great-Grandchildren – 35; and Great-Great Grandchildren 1
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson – Caleb Overmyer, great grandson Colton, and brother – Harold Shafer
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Grace Outreach Fellowship, 2900 Center St., Tippecanoe, Indiana.
Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Whitworth. Burial will conclude at the Tippecanoe Cemetery, Tippecanoe, Indiana.
