Mary Jane Divine, age 65, of Washington, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at her residence. She was born July 11, 1960, in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of Maurice Denton and Irma Baylor Denton. She married Steven C. Divine on February 7, 1989, and he survives.
Mary worked as a medical coder and taught physician training. She had a love for sewing and generously made and donated baby blankets to pediatric units. Mary also enjoyed cooking and dearly loved her pets—Lucky, Abby, Charlie, Jo-Jo, and Bojangles. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the care she showed to both people and animals.
Survivors include her husband, Steven, a sister, Carol (Albert) Andreatta of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Friday, March 27, 2026, at 11:00 CDT at the Price Cemetery in Russellville, Illinois.
