Dianne Glodowski, 84, of Plymouth, lovingly known as “Grandma Ducky” to her grandchildren and all those close to her, passed away on September 25, 2026, leaving behind a family who will deeply miss her unmistakable personality, cherished traditions, love, and the many memories created throughout her life.
Dianne was strong-willed, independent, and never shy about letting you know exactly what she thought. She knew how she wanted things done and usually had a pretty good idea of how everyone else should do them, too. Her direct way of speaking was simply part of who she was, and those who knew her best knew there was never much guessing about where you stood with Grandma Ducky, always knowing you were loved. Her personality was all her own, and one her family will undoubtedly miss and smile about.
Some of the most treasured memories with Dianne were found in the traditions she created with her family. Every Christmas brought the annual tradition of making Christmas cookies with her sisters, children, and grandchildren. The cookies were special, but the time spent together, the laughter, and the memories made in the kitchen became even more meaningful as the years passed.
Dianne had a special love for Arizona, and the weather there suited her well. Her collection of roadrunner decorations reflected a place that held a special spot in her heart. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and family, putting together puzzles, never missing a Notre Dame Football game on TV, and spending time with those closest to her.
Her Catholic faith was an important and constant part of her life. Sunday Mass was not something Dianne casually fit into her schedule—it was simply where she was going to be. Her devotion to her faith remained an important part of who she was throughout her life.
Above all, Dianne loved her family. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Gorski, and her husband, Steve; her son, Mark Glodowski, and his wife, Meredith; and her four grandchildren, Samantha Gardner and her husband, Brian Thomas Gorski and his wife, Emma, AJ Glodowski, and Anya Glodowski.
She was blessed with two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Gardner and Landon Gorski, who brought another generation of joy to her life.
Dianne is also survived by her siblings, Judy Sacia and Richard “Bud” Kaiser, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennett and Cecilia (Owecke) Kaiser; her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Glodowski; a son; her sisters, Jerri Storlie and Kay Marin; and her twin.
The Family extends their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff and caregivers at We Belong Senior Home in Plymouth for the compassionate care and support provided to Dianne during her time with them.
Her family will miss her presence, her determination, her faith, her traditions, and the little things that made Dianne unmistakably Dianne. The traditions she started will continue, the stories about Grandma Ducky will continue to be told, and there will always be memories that bring both a tear and a smile.
She was one of a kind, and she will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life for Dianne will be announced at a later date.
