Dennis Musgrove, age 72, of Sumner, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at his home.
Dennis Musgrove, age 72, of Sumner, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at his home. He was born on January 11, 1954, the son of George and Dorothy Mattoon Musgrove.
Dennis was a 1972 graduate of Sumner High School. He worked for many years as a carpenter and in housekeeping at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. Dennis enjoyed spending his free time mushroom hunting and gardening. He will be remembered for his hard work and his love of the outdoors.
Preceding Dennis in death were his parents; his brother, Robert Musgrove; his brother-in-law, Larry J. Davis; his sister-in-law, Sharon Musgrove; his niece, Kimberly Rucker Maxfield.
Survivors include three sisters, Cindy Davis of Harrington, Delaware, Beth (Mike) Rucker of Bridgeport, Illinois, and Mary (Alan) Gray of Lawrenceville, Illinois; nephews and nieces, Scott Davis, Jason Davis, Chad Davis, Brian Musgrove, Brent Musgrove, Canda Twitty, Michelle Rucker, Mattison Morris, and Malynn Morris; and many great nephews and nieces.
Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, February 19 at 3:30 pm at Cresthaven Memorial Park in Claremont, Illinois.
