Allen Raye McCain, 77, of St. Paul

Allen Raye McCain, 77, of St. Paul, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026, at Waldron Rehab and Health Care.

He was born July 1, 1948, in Geneva, IN to Charles McCain and Mary Ruth (Stubbs) McCain.

Allen graduated from Waldron High School with the Class of 1966. He honorably served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Worms, Germany in the Finance Corp.     His work ethic and dedication provided him with the opportunity to own and operate McCain Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling for over 40 years. Allen was a member of the American Legion Post 70. He enjoyed being outdoors enjoying the weather and scenery. Allen also enjoyed traveling, especially out west and to the beaches. Family was always the most important thing to Allen, and he cherished spending time and making memories with all of them.

He married Jane (Baker) McCain on April 29, 1972, and they shared 53 loving years of marriage.

Allen is survived by his daughters, Leigh Anne (husband, Benny) Coffman and Lyndsay Erin

(husband, Kevin) Gettinger; his grandchildren, Emily Larrison (Christian Miller), Evan Larrison, Macy Larrison, Caraline (husband, Daniel) Couch, Audrey Gettinger, and Elliett Gettinger; his great-granddaugher, Willow Miller; his twin sister, Alice McCain; his brother, Gerald (wife, Judy) McCain; and several nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, and his niece, Kathy Conrad.

 Visitation will be Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 10 am to 11 am at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service,703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

 Funeral services will follow at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Dwayne Russell officiating.

 Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens and Crematory with military honors conducted by our local veteran organizations.

 Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Allen’s family.
