Vincennes Police now say a local man is now in custody on charges stemming from a fatal residential fire early last week.
37-year-old Shane Michael Carie of Vincennes was picked up on Thursday, September 24th and preliminarily charged with murder and arson.
Those charges stem from the investigation into the blaze which occurred late on Monday, September 21st at a home on North 11th Street in Vincennes around 10 p.m. EDT.
19-year-old Aileese Tucker of Vincennes was in the home at the time and later died from injuries after being transferred to an Indianapolis hospital.
Carie remains incarcerated in the Knox County Jail and is being held without bond.
No other information regarding the case has been released.
