A two-vehicle collision in northern Marshall County sent an Elkhart woman to the hospital Monday afternoon.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. on U.S. 6, west of US 31, according to the Marshall County Sheriff's Department.
Sandra Magner, 71, of Elkhart, was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Trax southbound when she failed to stop at the intersection while exiting the ramp from U.S. 31 south. Her SUV was struck by a westbound 2004 Dodge Dakota driven by Ezra Leed, 45, of LaPaz.
Magner was transported to Memorial Hospital for treatment. The extent of her injuries was not immediately disclosed. Leed was uninjured in the collision.
Marshall County Central Dispatch received the initial call reporting the crash, and deputies responded to the scene. The Marshall County Sheriff's Department was assisted by an off-duty South Bend Police officer, LaPaz Fire and EMS, and Lyons Wrecker Service.
